Memorial Day parade filters into the town cemetery from their march down Main Street

Most places now observe this annual Memorial Day for veterans on the Monday national holiday of a three-day weekend at the end of May, but here in county seat for Clinton County, Michigan the calendar date of May 30 is preserved to mark the day, as it was at its origins after the Civil War.
